PAKISTAN – German speciality chemicals giant Evonik has partnered with global distribution leader Manuchar to exclusively supply its essential amino acid product, MetAMINO®, in Pakistan.
The exclusive distribution agreement, announced Monday, marks a significant milestone for both companies as they aim to support Pakistan’s growing demand for high-quality animal nutrition.
The country, home to over 240 million people and a rapidly expanding middle class, is experiencing a surge in demand for animal protein, driven by heightened consumer awareness of nutrition and food quality.
“This partnership marks a step forward in our efforts to serve customers in emerging markets. With its growing animal nutrition sector, Pakistan offers substantial potential for our premium product MetAMINO®,” said Madeline Tan, Evonik’s Regional Head of Animal Nutrition for Asia Pacific.
MetAMINO®, Evonik’s branded DL-methionine, is a vital component in livestock feed that supports healthy, efficient, and sustainable animal growth.
The product plays a crucial role in ensuring livestock producers meet increasing productivity and quality standards while minimising environmental impact.
The agreement gives Manuchar Pakistan, headquartered in Karachi, exclusive rights to distribute MetAMINO®, bolstering its position as a key player in the local animal nutrition sector.

The collaboration comes at a time when Evonik is undergoing a major corporate transformation.
Earlier this month, the Essen-based firm beat market expectations for its first-quarter earnings, posting a 7% increase in adjusted operating profits.
The strong performance was attributed in part to solid results from its Nutrition & Care division, which includes animal nutrition.
As global trade uncertainty looms, Evonik has doubled down on streamlining its business, aiming to shift towards high-margin products like MetAMINO® and improve resilience through partnerships in promising markets like Pakistan.
